This the Wrap Top crochet pattern. It is suitable for confident beginner crocheters. The pattern is worked vertically rather than horizontally, and it is a made-to-measure top. This means you will need to take some of your own measurements and do some simple calculations. This is a little bit more work, it is not everyones cup of tea. But because it is made this way, it makes sure the top fits perfectly, no matter your body type.

Materials needed to make the Wrap Top

• Katia Concept ‘Ultrasoft’ is used in the example. This is a type of cotton that is not in production anymore unfortunately. My customers have also used Drops Paris successfully.
• 3,5mm crochet hook
• A darning needle
• Scissors
• Measuring tape

Amount of yarn will vary, for sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL the estimated amount is: 840 (960) 1080 (1200) 1320 (1440) 1560 metres of yarn.

Gauge

Since the Wrap Top pattern is made-to-measure, no specific gauge is needed, as long as you follow the instructions. It is important to use a cotton yarn because it will not change shape much after washing.

Size

This is a made-to-measure pattern, you will have to do your own calculations and measurements before you start. It makes sure that the tops fits perfectly, however, if you are not comfortable doing maths, this might not be the pattern for you.
